The origin of the 7 Rays
Divine Source & Cosmic Law
From a higher perspective, the 7 Rays are said to be created and established by God (Source, the Divine, or the Great Central Sun) as fundamental expressions of divine intelligence, guiding the spiritual evolution of souls, planets, and universes. They operate through the Elohim, Archangels, and Ascended Masters, forming the structure of cosmic order and divine will.
The concept of the 7 Rays originates from esoteric spiritual traditions and has been described by Theosophy, Alice Bailey, and various mystical teachings. While the 7 Rays are believed to be divine emanations of Christ Consciousness, their structured teachings were developed through spiritual revelations and metaphysical studies.
Origins & Development of the 7 Rays
Ancient Roots – The idea of divine emanations can be traced back to Hinduism, Kabbalah (the Sephirot), early Christian mysticism, and esoteric Buddhism, where divine forces manifest in different vibrational frequencies.
Theosophy (Late 19th Century) – Helena Blavatsky, founder of Theosophy, introduced the idea of divine rays influencing human souls and cosmic evolution.
Alice Bailey (20th Century) – Alice Bailey, under the guidance of Djwhal Khul (a Tibetan Ascended Master), expanded the teachings of the 7 Rays in her books, describing how they influence soul growth, planetary evolution, and spiritual ascension.
The Ascended Master Teachings – The I AM Movement and Saint Germain Foundation further developed the understanding of the Violet Ray (Seventh Ray) as a tool for transformation and divine alchemy.
Modern Metaphysical Teachings – Today, many spiritual traditions, including New Age philosophy, use the 7 Rays as a framework for personal growth, energy healing, and divine purpose alignment.
